Frida Kahlo:
Fifth grade students looked at the work of Frida Kahlo. We used lots of colors and patterns to create these fun Frida Portraits.
Mosaic Names
Zentangle Pottery:
Fifth grade students practiced their skills of making zentangles. We then transferred those designs onto our clay pots using underglaze. Students glazed the insides of the pots using bright vibrant colors.
Puzzles:
Fifth graders made their own puzzle using Polyhedrons. It took a lot of patience but they said it was so much fun to make. We also made a larger class size version that we zentangled.
Inspirational Suns:
Fifth grade students made these super cool suns. We used paste papers and patterned papers. We embellished with paint and adjectives that described our fun art.
Endangered Animals:
Fifth
grade students chose their favorite endangered animal. They added
zentagles in parts and highlighted parts with neon tempera. After they
were finished they photographed their paintings into WordPhoto on the
iPad to alter their images.
